Coventry MotoFest, Coventry

Coventry MotoFest is an event centred around uplifting and celebrating the heritage of Coventry and the influence the city had on manufacturing – historically and in the modern era. Held in early June, there is a unique blend of demonstrations, static displays, and live music that entertain guests of all tastes: not just motoring fans!

Naturally, this affair is generally centred around the automotive industry and Coventry itself, so it does lend itself toward those interested in cars and bikes. It’s also just a short, 30-minute drive from the centre of Solihull.

Great Escape Cars Classics & Coffee, Redditch

Great Escape Cars, based in Redditch, are famous for their Classics & Coffee mornings. A regular Sunday occurence, the classic car hire company attracts over 300+ cars between 10am and 12pm to admire vintage cars with a brew. If you weren’t already sold – the events are in aid of Acorns Hospice – with any money raised going toward the great work they do.

Everyone is welcome to Classics & Coffee, and Redditch is less than thirty minutes from Solihull so it’s ideal for vintage car enthusiasts in the area.

Race Retro, Stoneleigh

“Europe’s #1 historic motor show”, Race Retro in Stoneleigh is ideal for those that are interested in some of the most significant cars and bikes history has to offer. Hundreds of cars line the event halls in late February, when the event is held, with some of the most important feats of engineering and motoring excellence on show. There is also a kind selection of classic and modern vehicles, all with intriguing back stories.

Less than 20 miles away from Solihull, Race Retro is a great day out for the family with interviews with racing legends, Silverstone auctions, and the recently added ‘Hall of Fame Live’ offering plenty of interesting things to do for motoring fans.

Motorcycle Live, NEC Birmingham

Last, but certainly not least, we have Motorcycle Live at the NEC in Birmingham. This motoring event is centred more around those interested in vehicles with two wheels, and is also the UK’s largest motorcycle show. Held in mid-late November, there are opportunities to ride motorbikes in ten different feature areas and hundreds more to admire.

Another event that is 30-minutes from the centre of Solihull, this is perfect for motorcycle enthusiasts looking to interact with some of the most impressive bikes in the world, as well as learn more about different products, services, and expert opinions from industry-leaders.
